#1 The winner goes to WaterWipes!
The wipes are made of non-woven cotton and wool fibers, then soaked in purified water and a bit of grapefruit seed and soapberry extracts. These wipes are 99.9% water. These ingredients help preserve the wipes, and perfect for sensitive skin. It does not cause irritation from our 4 years of using it. This hypoallergenic and chemical-free wipe is our number 1 choice diaper wipes. It cleans nicely without leaving any residue, and does not leave any smell.
The only thing I dislike about this is the packaging as it only comes with a sticky flap, and not a sturdy plastic flap. Also, the water tend to settle at the bottom of the package, but it is not a big issue if you flip it over and let the water flow to the upper wipes again. However, these wipes are on a pricey side. I originally used these as diaper wipes, but now we use it mainly for wiping those sticky hands and face. They are very gentle on the baby’s skin. In fact, they claim that 95% of healthcare professionals said that they recommend WaterWipes.

#2 Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes
These are more affordable compared to the WaterWipes. They are about 3 cents per wipes. These are our to-go-to wipes for wiping the bottoms and diaper changes. These wipes are mild, soft, thick and durable. They do not break like some of the other wipes out in the market. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with these wipes since they are affordable and good quality. For wet diapers, you only need one wipe, and for dirty diapers, you can probably get by with 2 wipes. These wipes retain moisture well as well, and are not dry like the Target Up & Up wipes. Since they are sensitive wipes, they do not have a strong odor.
As for the cons, these sensitive wipes don’t clean as well as the non-sensitive version, but those non-sensitive version obviously don’t do as great a job in preventing diaper rash. We also found that it also leaves some residue on the baby’s skin, but that’s because it has a small amount of moisturizer in the ingredients. It’s not the end of the world, but probably something worth mentioning.

#3 Honest Company Baby Wipes
These wipes are a good combination of thickness and wetness, and like the pampers sensitive baby wipes, can tackle a good amount of mess without being ripped apart. They stay moist all the way to the last wipe in the package. Like the WaterWipes, they are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, made with 99% water, and are great on sensitive skin. Packaging is easy to use if you only have one-hand to dispense while holding onto the baby with the other hand. Packaging is also cute with designs.
The only limitation for these wipes is the price. They are about 5 to 6 cents per wipe.

#4 Seventh Generation Free and Clear Baby Wipes
This is also another great options for parents who are looking for a gentle, plant-based wipe with friendly ingredients. It is made without fragrances or parabens. Like all the other featured wipes here, they are thick wipes. The one thing that I like about these wipes are that the wipes are patterned, so they have a little texture and help with wiping poops. Our babies never had an issue with rashes when we used these wipes.

#5 Babyganics Extra Gentle Baby Wipes
Babyganics has a line of other baby products that are worth considering as well. These wipes are soft, durable and effective. They are gentle on baby’s skin. For the few times that we have used these wipes, our babies did not get any diaper rash. This isn’t surprising to us since their ingredients are fragrance-free and are high quality. For example, the chamomile and natural seed oil in them are great.
The one criticism I have for these wipes are that they are thinner than the other wipes mentioned here. However, we didn’t find a need to double up and were still able to use one wipe for a wet diaper, and perhaps 2 to 3 wipes for a dirty diaper. We also weren’t a big fan of the odor, but it is not a tie-breaker.

#6 Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes
These are one of the more affordable options. They are about 2 cents per wipe. They still do a good job! Although they are fragrance-free, they still leave a faint odor which isn’t a huge deal. They are good on sensitive skin as they are free of alcohol, paraben, fragrance, and are quite thick. They retain moisture well, and are unlikely to dry out. I have accidentally left the container open a few times, but found that the wipes are still moist the next day. In terms of packaging, the wipes are easy to pull out with one hand, and they are easy to separate.
However, they do have some less desirable ingredients and some babies are sensitive to them. Personally, my baby did just fine with these wipes, but you might want to test out a small pack first before committing to a whole box of wipes.

These wipes are not as common as the other wipes on the market as they are Australia-based. They are made with 99.7% New Zealand water and are enhanced with chamomile, jojoba and aloe vera. They claim that these wipes are biodegradable and home-compostable. If you are conscious about producing waste and would like to keep up with the low-waste lifestyle, then these wipes are for you! Bonus: the packaging is also recyclable.
Best value wipes: Kirkland Signature Baby Wipes
When your baby has fewer blowouts and are less prone to diaper rashes, consider transitioning to less expensive options like these Costco wipes. For example, if your toddler is potty-trained, you could use these as poop wipes or to clean up general toddler messes. These wipes are free of fragrance, parabens, alcohol and chlorine. They are thick and clean everything.
